Molly and Chico Seay
Molly and Chico Seay are a wife and husband team located in beautiful Southwest Missouri, outside the town of Nixa. Molly has been a potter for twenty years, originally learning her craft from master Tom Manhart of Tulsa University fame. She has studied under Toshiko Takaezu, which means she went to a workshop once and met her. Chico has been seriously plying the mud for seven years, but through the studious mentorship of Molly he’s not half bad, and getting better all the time. Toshiko had a dish of polenta with grilled peppers and onion made by Chico (who is a ‘really good cooker’, according to his niece Deana) and she really liked it. He was a big hit that evening. Anyway, Chico is a retired computer guy and manages the going’s-on at the farm. Except for the horses part; that’s Molly’s bailiwick.
