Molly and Chico Seay
Molly and Chico Seay are a wife and husband team located in beautiful Southwest Missouri, outside the town of Nixa. Molly has been a potter for twenty years, originally learning her craft from master Tom Manhart of Tulsa University fame. She has studied under Toshiko Takaezu, which means she went to a workshop once and met her. Chico has been seriously plying the mud for only 2 ½ years, but through the studious mentorship of Molly he’s not half bad, and getting better all the time. Toshiko had a dish of polenta with grilled peppers and onion made by Chico (who is a ‘really good cooker’, according to his niece Deana) and she really liked it. He was a big hit that evening. Anyway, Chico is semi-retired computer guy and manages the going’s-on at the farm. Except for the horses part; that’s Molly’s bailiwick.
